BEHIND THE SCENES: MIC MAC MALL BILLBOARD SHOOT

If you happen to be driving down Robie Street (towards the MacKay Bridge), and take a look to the left, or coming toward Bedford on the Bedford Highway, or you’re driving down Coburg Road towards Spring Garden, or in Bayers Lake passing Cost-Co you might just recognize a familiar face.

Recently I had the opportunity to not only be featured in
MicMac Mall’s holiday campaign, but I also got to choose the talent, AND personally
style them.  Talk about a stylist’s dream come true. It’s so funny because I can’t tell you how many times I’d been at the mall, or out and about shopping and had someone tell me I ‘should be featured in those ads”, and that I “could totally do it”.  Now to be able to say that I successfully did it (and be the stylist) is like I said a dream come true.
I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of work that goes into one single image, but it’s truly a testament to how these people (and myself included) love their jobs because let me tell you these babes in the photo below make it look reeeeeeeeal easy! From pulling the looks, to getting the hair and makeup just right, to getting the perfect backdrop everyone had a part to play. Huge thanks to everyone involved 🙂 you were just great sports, and committed until the very end.
Huge shout out to photographer Dean Casavechia and the folks from Extreme Group, Spider Video, and the marketing team for MicMac Mall for such an amazing day! What a great team I’m so happy with how everything came together. Here’s a great little video that was put together of us getting ready for the big day.
